Late Dr Sam S. Nujoma
FOUNDING PRESIDENT AND FATHER OF THE NATION
Term of Office: 1990 - 2005: His Excellency the late Dr. Sam Nujoma, the Founding President of the Republic of Namibia and the Father of the Namibian Nation led the country to political freedom. During his tenure he unified the country by adopting a reconciliatory approach, which brought the much-needed peace and stability to Namibia.
His Excellency the late Nujoma retired on the On March 21, 2005. He passed away on the 8 February 2025.
